The Israeli Negev desert, with its unique geological phenomenon, breathtaking scenery and huge diversity of riding tracks is clearly a "MTB rider‘s haven".
Located in the southern part of Israel, this vast, wild area is still untouched and holds its secrets for you to discover.
As for the weather, what can better then a mountain bike riding vacation in the middle of the winter? Now, when Europe tends to be rainy, snowy and cold, the Negev desert climate is exactly what one can wish for – a comfortable 20-25 degrees during the day with no rain and low humidity.
The Negev is covered with hundreds of kilometers of tracks, crisscrossing the primeval wasteland, some of which hold mythical names and have been used by travelers from the ancient world. This trip will take you through some of the more well known spots in the Negev desert such as "the Ramon Crater" and many other breathtaking sights. The tracks themselves are challenging and suit skilled XC riders who are not intimidated by long rides and rough terrain.
